How Uneed's launches are working, what can you win and what should you do?

Uneed has two goals: to enable you to discover new products, and to promote your own.

Launch your product on Uneed

Every day at 12:00 AM PST, a new batch of products goes live on the homepage: at least 30 free launches from the waiting line, plus every paid launch (Fast-track, Skip the waiting line and relaunches).

Launch day gives your product special visibility, but the excitement doesn't stop there: our community can keep upvoting their favorite products at any time.

Rankings and Badges

At Uneed, we celebrate the most popular products through various rankings that are constantly evolving thanks to our community's ongoing engagement:

Daily Launches

Every day brings a fresh wave of new products to discover. Launch day is your product's chance to shine and make a strong first impression on our community.

Dynamic Rankings

Uneed features 4 distinct leaderboards that showcase the most popular products across different time periods. The key feature of these rankings is that they are rolling (sliding windows), meaning they constantly update based on recent activity rather than fixed calendar periods.

The 4 Leaderboards:

• Product of the Day: Highlights products launched on their launch day (resets daily at 12:00 AM PST)
• Product of the Week: Tracks products with the most upvotes over the last 7 rolling days
• Product of the Month: Features products with the most upvotes over the last 30 rolling days
• Product of the Year: Celebrates products with the most upvotes over the last 365 rolling days

How Rolling Leaderboards Work:

Unlike traditional rankings that reset at the start of each week or month, our leaderboards use a sliding time window. For example:

• The Weekly leaderboard always shows products with the most votes from the last 7 days (not the current calendar week)
• The Monthly leaderboard counts votes from the last 30 days (not the current calendar month)
• The Yearly leaderboard aggregates votes from the last 365 days (not the current calendar year)

This means rankings update continuously as new votes come in and older votes fall outside the time window. A product can rise or fall in the rankings at any time based on community engagement, making our leaderboards dynamic and reflective of current community interest.

Podium Badges

Products that reach the podium (top 3) in these rankings earn special badges:

• 🥇 Gold badge for 1st place
• 🥈 Silver badge for 2nd place
• 🥉 Bronze badge for 3rd place

These badges are displayed on the product page, enhancing visibility and credibility.

A word on vote integrity

Rankings are only worth something if the votes behind them are real, so we check. Votes coming from batches of accounts created at once, or from a single IP address, get flagged and removed — which means a final ranking can differ from what you saw live during the day. The daily archive always reflects the cleaned-up standing. More about how this works.

Newsletter Feature

The 3 best performing products in our rankings are featured in our weekly newsletter, reaching our community of 26,000+ subscribers. This provides additional exposure and recognition for products that consistently engage our community.

How to launch your product on Uneed?

Go to the submission page and add your product. No account is needed to start: our robots collect as much information as possible from your page, then you sign up to save it and complete the rest.

Submitting is not scheduling. Once your product is in, nothing happens automatically: you have to go back to your dashboard and choose how you want to launch. Three options:

• Join the free waiting line (free): we assign your launch date automatically, between 30 days and 5 months out. Your launch needs 10 upvotes on launch day to stay published, and 20 upvotes to keep a do-follow backlink.
• Fast-track ($14.99): we assign you a date around 2 weeks out. Your product stays published whatever happens on launch day, and its backlink is do-follow from 10 upvotes.
• Skip the waiting line ($29.99): pick the exact date you want. Published with a do-follow backlink for life, no upvote threshold.

When a lot of products join the free line, more products launch each day instead of the wait getting longer. If every day of the next 5 months is already full, the free option says so and only the paid options remain until days free up.

Already launched once? A Relaunch ($15) gives you a second launch day when something significant has changed.

Free submissions go through moderation and can be declined, most often because they fall into a category we already receive dozens of every week. Paid launches are never declined. What we accept, and what we don't.

Product Retention and Success

What happens after launch day?

Your product page stays on Uneed permanently, depending on how you launched and on your vote score on launch day (upvotes count with each voter's multiplier). The verdict is applied the day after your launch day: during launch day itself, your link is always do-follow.

• Free waiting line: 20 upvotes or more, your product stays published with a do-follow backlink. From 10 to 19, it stays published with a nofollow link. Below 10, it goes back to your dashboard and can't join the free line again: to launch it, use Fast-track or Skip the waiting line.
• Fast-track: always stays published. The backlink is do-follow from 10 upvotes, nofollow below.
• Skip the waiting line, Relaunch, and the launches included with Uneed Pro: always published, with a do-follow backlink for life, no upvote threshold.
• Already in line before the September 2026 reopening? You keep the rule you joined under: 10 upvotes and your product stays published with its do-follow backlink. Fast-tracks bought before the reopening keep their guaranteed backlink.

How to succeed on Uneed?

Success on Uneed comes from both a strong launch and consistent engagement with our community. For a step-by-step walkthrough, read our full product launch guide. Here are some tips:

• Plan your launch day: Notify your users, friends, and network to make a strong first impression on launch day.
• Pick a good day: Tuesday to Thursday works best for B2B and productivity products. Choosing your own day requires Skip the waiting line.
• Maintain momentum: Keep engaging with your community and encourage satisfied users to upvote your product - votes count at any time!
• Take care of your product page: Work on your logo, descriptions, and keep information up-to-date. Updating your product is always free, before and after launch. A complete and active product page attracts more votes over time.
• Add deals: Offering special deals for Uneed users grants you a special badge and helps maintain interest in your product.
• Don't buy votes: we detect it, the votes get removed, and repeat offenders get banned.

Upvote Power and Rewards

At Uneed, we value community engagement. As you consistently participate by upvoting products, you'll earn streaks and unlock rewards that increase your influence on the platform.

Streak Rewards

As you maintain your streak, you'll unlock various rewards:

• 5-day streak: +1 to your vote multiplier, x2 total (Power up)
• 25-day streak: 25% off your next 'Skip the waiting line' (Discount)
• 50-day streak: 50% off your next 'Skip the waiting line' (Discount)
• 100-day streak: +1 to your vote multiplier, x3 total, and your first avatar border (Power up)
• 150-day streak: A free 'Skip the waiting line' (Free advertisement)
• 300-day streak: +1 to your vote multiplier, x4 total, and another free 'Skip the waiting line' (Power up)
• 365-day streak: 50% off Uneed Pro, forever (Discount)
• 500-day streak: Unlock your second avatar border and a free Relaunch (Power up)
• 1000-day streak: +1 to your vote multiplier, x5 total (Power up)

The totals above count your streak alone. Uneed Pro adds +3 on top of whichever tier you have reached, so a Pro member on a 1000-day streak upvotes at x8.

These rewards are designed to encourage regular participation and give you more influence as you become a more active member of the Uneed community.

You can never lose a streak, even if you don't log in for months.
