Thank you. Friends' children's birthdays is exactly the case I hoped someone would find. Private was the starting point rather than something added later, so it is good to hear that came through.
A friend mentions an interview on Thursday. You save it in about five seconds. That is the only way anything gets into Kinu.
Kinu can help you add people from your contacts, and that is where it stops. No calendar, no reading your messages, nothing pulled in behind you. There is not much to protect when the app never collects it.
What you do save stays on your device and works offline. Kinu Plus adds encrypted sync, so the server holds ciphertext rather than your friends' names. Nothing you write about people is used for ads or analytics, and there is no feed for any of it to end up in.
